Who we are
The Jewish Gymnastics League (“JGL”, “we”, “us”) runs a league of member gyms and the online portal used by gymnasts, families, coaches, gym owners and event hosts. This policy explains what personal information the portal and this website collect, why, who can see it and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number and your password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Gymnast information: name, date of birth, gym, competitive level, membership status, and parent or guardian and emergency contact details.
- Competition records: event registrations, sessions, check-ins, scores, placements and level advancement.
- Coach and gym information: coach roles and titles, gym contact details and member gym applications.
- Payment records: what was paid for, the amount, date and status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number or security code.
- Emails: a record of the account and league emails we send you (for example confirmations and reminders), delivered through our email provider, Resend.
- Technical information: sign-in cookies that keep you logged in, and basic logs (such as IP address and the time of an action) used for security and our activity log.
We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
How we use it
- To run the league: memberships, event registration, judging, scores, results and level advancement.
- To let gyms manage their own gymnasts and coaches.
- To take payments for memberships, entries and tickets, and to keep financial records.
- To send account emails, receipts, tickets, reminders and league announcements.
- To keep the portal secure, prevent misuse and resolve questions or disputes.
Children's information
Many of our gymnasts are children. A child's account and information are provided and managed with a parent or guardian, whose contact details we keep on the gymnast's record. We collect only what the league needs to run competitions safely and fairly.
Parents and guardians can review, correct or ask us to delete their child's information at any time by writing to Office@JGLgymnastics.com.
Who can see what
- You see your own account, and gymnasts see their own registrations, membership and scores.
- Coaches and gym owners see the gymnasts, registrations and scores for their own gym only.
- Event hosts see what they need to run their event, such as the entry list and check-in.
- JGL administrators can see all records in order to run the league.
- The public may see event details, published news, the list of member gyms and, where the league publishes them, meet results.
We share information with service providers only to run the portal: hosting and database (Vercel, Supabase), payments (Stripe) and email delivery (Resend). They get only what they need to provide that service. We never sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep account and gymnast information while the account is active and the gymnast is part of the league. Competition results and payment records are kept as part of the league's historical and financial records. When a person leaves, we archive or deactivate their records rather than leaving them in active use, and we delete personal information on request unless we need to keep it to meet a legal, accounting or safety obligation.
How we protect it
The portal uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password storage, and role-based access so people only see what their role allows. Sensitive actions are recorded in an activity log. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and tell us if you think your account has been misused.
Your choices
- Update your details from your account, or ask your coach or us to correct them.
- Ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to delete it.
- Ask us to stop sending you league announcements. You'll still get account, payment and event emails when needed.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let members know. Questions or requests? Email Office@JGLgymnastics.com.
